The Rocky Mountain Showdown is back once again. Colorado leads the series by a huge 62-22-2 margin, but four wins in the last decade for Colorado State means they’re in one of their most successful stretches ever against the Buffs. One of those wins was a 31-17 triumph last year for the Rams.
How to watch Colorado vs. Colorado State on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
Can the Rams make it two in a row over the Buffs?
Colorado rebounded nicely after their horrible loss to open the year against Hawaii, waxing UMass 48-14 last week. If the Buffs want to make progress on their 2-10 record last year, this is one of their best shots left at a win. Colorado State, meanwhile, is coming off a 10-3 season last year, but are starting over with a new head coach in Mike Bobo after Jim McElwain left for the Florida job.

Three big things to know
1. Can the Buffs keep running the ball? Colorado’s been pretty good so far this season on the ground, rushing just over 300 yards per game through two games. Granted, their competition hasn’t been terribly stout against the run, but Colorado State isn’t exactly Alabama either. Keeping a steady rushing attack all game long would be very helpful for the Buffs.
2. Two in a row? Colorado State hasn’t won two in a row over Colorado since 1999-2000. They’ve had a pretty good run in recent years, but getting a winning streak over their in-state rival from the bigger Pac-12 would be pretty sweet.
3. First big game for Bobo. It’s the third game of Mike Bobo’s first year as a head coach, and this one means a lot for Colorado State. Will he run the dang ball enough?
