How to watch TCU vs. Texas Tech on TV or online, plus 3 things to know

Will the Red Raiders keep rolling?

It wasn’t long ago that many experts thought Texas Tech had stalled under Kliff Kingsbury. The Red Raiders missed out on a bowl game last season, and the defense was a mess. However, Tech is 3-0 with a win over Arkansas last week, which was probably the team’s biggest win since beating Arizona State over a year-and-a-half ago. Now the Red Raiders get a bigger test against TCU.

The Horned Frogs came into the year as College Football Playoff contenders, and they’re certainly still well in contention, but after looking bad against Minnesota and playing SMU close, a 3-0 TCU team has some more doubts than it did before. And after two arrests this week, there are even more questions: Is this team good or great?

Texas Tech will be a big test for a TCU defense that has definitely taken a step back this season, especially considering how successful SMU was last week. But can the Red Raiders defense keep them in the game?

Three big things to know

1. Can Texas Tech keep the momentum up? The Red Raiders are riding high after beating Arkansas, and they’ve shown that they’re much better than they were last year. A win over TCU would be huge and get Kingsbury’s team into the top 25. TCU is beatable, and this is a golden opportunity for Tech.

2. Can TCU assert itself as one of the four best teams in the country again? The Horned Frogs aren’t going to lose their spot in the top four just yet, but they need to win this game, and it would help their confidence — and the confidence of voters — if they are able to win handily and play well on both sides of the ball.

3. Kingsbury said he whooped Bret Bielema’s ass last weekend. He is the people’s champ.
