It’s after midnight on the first day of FBS football this season, and the best games across the country are winding down. But you would do anything to get more football after this Thursday night tease. Hell, you would even stay up until dawn to watch Colorado-Hawaii if it meant getting more football.
How to watch Colorado vs. Hawaii on TV, plus 3 big things
The FBS season isn’t even one day old, and most of the country already has a reason to stay up past midnight.

Well, long-suffering college football fan, you are in luck, because Colorado and Hawaii will be squaring off at 1 a.m. ET Thursday night to give you four more hours of football.
These late games often seem to supply their share of drama, with Hawaii pulling off a pretty thrilling comeback against UNLV (listen to their announcer go nuts). For its part, Colorado nearly took down UCLA in double overtime last season. The Rainbow Warriors are favored by 2.5 points.

Three big things to know
1. Is this Colorado’s bowl game?
It’s odd to have a bowl game at the beginning of the season, but that’s what this game could ultimately amount to for Buffaloes fans. Colorado is improving, but it’s tough to find enough Buffs wins in a stacked Pac-12.
2. Can Hawaii salvage its program?
Winning alone won’t help save Hawaii football, but if the program has any chance of solving its financial woes, it needs to start winning and attracting fans. Ticket sales are currently at a record low.
3. Can the Warriors finally pull an upset?
Despite its on-field struggles, Hawaii has actually played well against mid-to-low-level Pac-12 foes that venture to Honolulu, nearly upsetting both Washington and Oregon State last year. Colorado represents a manageable chance for a Pac-12 win.
