Cincinnati is going to use special helmets to mark Nippert Stadium’s 100th anniversary, and they are some of the strangest things I’ve ever seen.

— Cincinnati Bearcats (@GoBEARCATS) September 3, 2015 I, uhhhh, I’m not sure where to start. That’s a lot of triangles, which are featured prominently around Nippert Stadium. I can’t speak to why putting those triangles all over the uniform and helmet was considered a good idea, but they’re here and we all have to deal with it. You can tell a uniform is bad when “NIPPERT STADIUM” running down the legs doesn’t even register until about five minutes after you first see them.
Thankfully, these uniforms are not going to be used as Cincinnati’s regular uniforms, which are quite attractive.
