Hey, did you know that Chris Petersen used to coach Boise State and now coaches Washington, yet is playing Boise State in his first game this season?
How to watch Boise State vs. Washington on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
Can the Broncos lay down the hammer on their old coach?

That game was the talk of Pac-12 Media Days, and Peterson isn’t exactly looking forward to going to Boise for the game. He called the matchup “awkward” and said he doesn’t have any plan for how he’s going to deal with the situation.
Ironically enough, Peterson might get handed a loss to start 2015 because of the dynasty he built in Boise. The Broncos are looking to make a run at 14-0, and they have a lot more to be optimistic about than Washington this season. With a true freshman possibly starting at quarterback, the Huskies are young and inexperienced. Boise State will have a new starting quarterback in Ryan Finley, but overall, it has a lot fewer question marks.
Can the Broncos slay another power conference foe? This time, it’s one that just so happens to be led by a former friend.

Three big things to know
1. Who starts at quarterback for Washington?
This is kind of an important thing to know. Will it be junior Jeff Lindquist, redshirt freshman K.J. Carta-Samuels or true freshman Jake Browning? Nobody has any idea at this point.
2. Chris Petersen used to coach Boise State and now coaches Washington?
Did we mention this? It will be the biggest storyline surrounding this game and the broadcast.
3. Does Boise State look like an elite power conference team?
The Broncos are on a quest for 14-0 this season after making the Fiesta Bowl as the top Group of Five team last season. Washington isn’t an elite power conference team, so for Boise State to have any chance of making the College Football Playoff this season, it’s going to have to come out and roll the Huskies like Ohio State, Alabama or Oregon likely would.
