One time, Popular Mechanics, of all magazines, called Utah a cupcake for Michigan. It’s a common term for an early season opponent, but a strange one for a team that plays in the Pac-12. Utah naturally didn’t like this, even after getting an apology from Popular Mechanics. The Utes went out and beat Michigan fairly handily on Thursday night, and afterwards they celebrated with, you guessed it, cupcakes.
