The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game has turned into must-watch TV over the past few seasons, and that’s no exception this year. Louisville and No. 6 Auburn will meet in a matchup of conference contenders who will still need to exceed expectations to make the College Football Playoff.
How to watch Auburn vs. Louisville on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
Which power-conference contender will start a promising season on a winning note?
That said, there’s a lot to be excited about for both the Tigers and the Cardinals.
Quarterback Nick Marshall is gone, but Jeremy Johnson is arguably an even more intriguing option for Auburn, as he gets set to lead the Tigers on what should be another wild season. Louisville should look familiar to those who watched the Cardinals last season, and they should continue winning despite major overhauls.
This game could end up being one of the most exciting of the opening weekend. Auburn has a penchant for exciting endings, and the Tigers certainly have a lot of potential, but Louisville has the experience to pull off the upset. The Tigers are favored by 10.5 points.

Three big things to know
1. Does the Jeremy Johnson Heisman campaign begin?
Johnson looked the part in spots, and this year is the big passer’s chance to really shine. If Johnson is going to become a name, what better way to start his campaign than on national television against an impressive ACC foe?
2. Louisville’s secondary is talented, but a mystery
The Cardinals must replace their top three cornerbacks and two outstanding safeties, but they have talent coming in. Former five-star safety Josh Harvey-Clemons and four-star cornerback Josh Wiggins, both transfers from Georgia, are here to help. They will be key against Johnson and Auburn.
3. SEC vs. the world
The SEC’s reputation (undeservedly) took a bit of a hit last bowl season. This is a chance for the league to show that it’s still top dog. A loss could hurt the conference’s reputation come Playoff time.
