How to watch UTEP vs. Arkansas on TV or online, plus 3 things to know

No spread offenses here.

It’s hard to believe that just two years ago, No. 18 Arkansas was 0-8 in SEC play. But a year into his tenure with the Razorbacks, with his implemented grind-it-out style, Arkansas broke out to become a force to be reckoned with in the SEC West. The Razorbacks finished particularly strong, shutting out LSU and Ole Miss in consecutive November weeks and dominating Texas in the Texas Bowl.

Now, Arkansas will see if it can make the jump from pretty good to SEC West contender. Even if it can’t, you should still become a fan of the Hogs.

Arkansas will open 2015 against a team that’s actually pretty similar to themselves. UTEP bounced back in 2014, and the Miners used the same ground-it-out style as the Razorbacks. The caveat there is that Arkansas has a lot more talent across the board, but these two teams will find a lot of similarities when they look across the line of scrimmage.

How to watch, stream and listen

TV: 3:30 p.m. ET, ESPNU

Radio: Arkansas, UTEP

Online streaming: WatchESPN

Three big things to know

1. MAN BALL

Or whatever you want to call it. If you’re a fan of that, then you’ll be a fan of this game.

2. The Alex Collins hype begins

Collins has never gotten the spotlight to himself as a full-time starter, but he’s rushed for over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons. He’s due for a very big year.

3. More improvement from UTEP?

UTEP bounced back last season. Can the Miners build off that? A win over Arkansas would provide a lot of momentum.
