Kansas was trying to get one last play to finish its comeback against South Dakota State. Attempting to stop the clock and give themselves one last shot, quarterback Montell Cozart fumbled the snap on the spike play, and the clock ran out on the Jayhawks.
Kansas lost to an FCS team by fumbling the spike snap
It’s just so sad.

— Luke Zimmermann (@lukezim) September 5, 2015 Kansas, which is a FBS Power Five team, had to mount a serious comeback just to get into this position against South Dakota State, a good FCS team. The entire situation is so unfortunate that it sort of leaves you without words. It’s just so sad. Not the most auspicious start to David Beaty’s career in Lawrence.
