After dropping back-to-back road games against Stanford and Utah, USC has responded well, with two consecutive wins against Arizona State and Colorado. This week, the Trojans travel to Arizona to take on the 2-4 WIldcats on Saturday afternoon. USC has a favorable road schedule in October, as the trip to Tucson will be the only road game for the Trojans all month.

If USC wants to stay alive in the Pac-12 South race, this Saturday’s Arizona game is a must-win.

Last year, USC overcame a 14-0 deficit and came back to win, 38-0. The Trojans lead the all-time series with Arizona, 30-8. The last time these two teams met in Tucson, USC pulled off a 28-26 win over Arizona, which was ranked No. 10 in the country at the time. The Trojans also handed the WIldcats their first loss of the season in 2014.
USC’s last two wins helps the Trojans in the Pac-12 race, but they still have some catching up to do if they want to represent the South in the Pac-12 Championship. The Trojans are currently sitting at fourth in the division, sitting behind Colorado, Arizona State and Utah, who are all 2-1 in conference play.

TV: 3:30 p.m. (ET), Fox Sports 1. Joe Davis and Brady Quinn will be on the call with Bruce Feldman on the sidelines.

Three big things to know
1. USC’s offense has improved under Sam Darnold: The redshirt freshman signal caller has had two impressive performances in the last couple of weeks. Against both Arizona and Colorado, he threw for over 350 yards and tossed three touchdowns. He has throw just two interceptions on the season.
2. The Trojans will be limited at running back: Senior running back Jordan Davis will not play Saturday against Arizona. He suffered a high ankle sprain during the game against Colorado last week. Prior to his injury, he led the team in rushing with 476 yards. With Davis’ absence, sophomores Aca’Cedric Ware and Ronald Jones II will both take snaps at running back.
3. Arizona has yet to win a Pac-12 game: The Wildcats have dropped their last three games against Washington, UCLA, and Utah. It doesn’t help that Arizona has been ravaged with injuries, including quarterbacks Brandon Dawkins and Anu Solomon.
