The Washington Huskies are 6-0, and are riding a nine-game win streak. Following a bye week, they will host Oregon State on Saturday for Homecoming. Things are going very well for head coach Chris Peterson in Seattle. Washington is ranked fifth in the country, and looks like the undisputed favorite to win the Pac-12.

The Huskies hold a 62-34-4 record in the series against the Beavers, and UW won 20 out of the last 28 meetings. Oregon State, meanwhile comes into the game sitting at 2-4, and having dealt with a slew of injuries. The Beavers will have to start third-string quarterback Marcus McMaryion this week -- the sophomore has completed just five passes this season. All five of those completions came last week against Utah when McMaryion subbed into the game in relief and found some success in limited action.
There is a lot at stake for Washington. The Huskies are in the thick of the College Football Playoff discussion, but will need to keep winning to stay there. And they have ground to make up in the standings, so they might need to win and do so in impressive fashion.

Three big things to know
1. Washington’s offense is led by its quarterback: Sophomore Jake Browning has been impressive all season, throwing for 1,418 yards and 23 touchdowns. He does a good job taking care of the football too, having thrown just two interceptions all season. Browning has also scored three rushing touchdowns.
2. Oregon State has been able to create turnovers: The Beavers’ defense has done a good job at making opponents turn the ball over. OSU’s defense has been able to create 11 turnovers in six games, including five interceptions and six fumble recoveries. Compared to last season, that’s a drastic improvement -- the Beavers caused just 12 turnovers throughout the entire 2015 season.
3. Could the Huskies go undefeated? It’s definitely a possibility, but the Huskies still have games against Utah, Cal, USC, and Washington State left. The last time UW finished a regular season undefeated was back in 1925 -- the Huskies lost the Rose Bowl that year to Alabama.
