Clemson favored at FSU and 9 more key opening lines for college football’s Week 9

Undefeated Clemson, Baylor, Washington among betting favorites for the week, with each team looking to pick up a victory on the road.

The Clemson Tigers are 8-0 straight up and 4-4 against the spread in their last eight games on the road. The Tigers face their toughest road test of the season this Saturday, taking on the Florida State Seminoles.

Clemson is a 3-point road favorite on Saturday night at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Historically, the Tigers have struggled on the road against the Seminoles, with Florida State winning nine of its last 10 home games against Clemson.

In the last 11 meetings between these two ACC rivals, Clemson has held the edge on the betting lines with a record of 8-3 ATS.

No. 8 Baylor and No. 10 West Virginia are both 6-0 SU to start the season, and the two Big 12 schools are set for a collision course as they meet in the final week of the regular season. But to keep their undefeated seasons alive, the two schools will need to survive as small road favorites this Saturday.

Baylor is a 3.5-point favorite at Texas and West Virginia is a 3-point favorite at Oklahoma State.

Texas stunned Baylor as a 20.5-point underdog last season, coming away with an outright upset in a 23-17 road win. The Longhorns are just 2-4 SU and 1-5 ATS in their last six games against Baylor since going 12-0 SU and 7-5 ATS in their previous 12 games in this series.

West Virginia is 2-4 SU and ATS in its last six road games against Big 12 opponents per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Only one undefeated team remains in the Pac-12, and that is the Washington Huskies. Dating back to Nov. 21 of last season, the Huskies are 10-0 SU and 7-3 ATS over their last 10 games, scoring at least 41 points in all but one of those games.

Washington is an 11-point road favorite this Saturday against Utah. The Utes are 10-1 SU in their last 11 games played in Week 9.

The other games on the Week 9 card featuring an undefeated team on the road are Michigan (-21) at Michigan State, Boise State (-14.5) at Wyoming, and Nebraska at Wisconsin (-7). Michigan is 9-0 SU in its last nine games against teams with losing records.
