Washington vs. Utah 2016 odds: Huskies are double-digit road favorites

The Washington Huskies face a tough test on the road this Saturday afternoon against the Utah Utes in the day’s marquee Pac-12 betting matchup.

Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Huskies are 10-0 straight up and 7-3 against the spread over their last 10 games, including a 7-0 record so far this season. The Huskies hope to keep their perfect regular season intact this Saturday on the road against the Utah Utes.

Washington is a 10.5-point road favorite in Utah at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In their last 10 games on the road, the Huskies are 7-3 ATS.

In what has been an overall down year for the Pac-12, Washington has emerged as the clear class of the conference. Ranking fourth in the nation in scoring offense with 48.3 points per game and sixth in the nation in scoring defense allowing 14.6 points per game, the Huskies have steamrolled their way through the competition in 2016.

Quarterback Jake Browning is one of the most efficient passers in the country with 26 touchdown passes to just two interceptions.

The Huskies have risen to the occasion against strong teams recently, boasting a 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS record in their last five games against teams with winning records, per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Betting Line / Total: Washington -10.5 / 53.5 Points

Trend: Utah is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games after winning as an underdog.

Trend: The total has gone over in nine of Washington’s last 10 games.

The Utes may be one of the most underrated teams in the country. Coming off of a 9-4 SU and ATS campaign in 2014 and a 10-3 SU and 6-7 ATS season in 2015, Utah has continued to trend in the right direction with a 7-1 SU and 4-4 ATS start in 2016.

Utah has won each of its last two games as an underdog outright, and has the chance to make a major statement this Saturday with an upset win over the surging Huskies.

Saturday’s total is set at 53.5 points. The OVER is 9-1 in Washington’s last 10 games overall.

Washington has been the best team in the conference so far in 2016, but there are plenty of tricky games remaining on the schedule. The Huskies have road games at Utah, California, and Washington State as well as potentially tough home games against USC and Arizona State.

If Washington manages to run the table en route to a Pac-12 title, it will be difficult for the committee to deny the Huskies a spot in the College Football Playoff field.
