With a 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS start to the season, the Oklahoma Sooners quickly fell out of contention for a return to the College Football Playoff.
But a 52-46 road win over TCU last Saturday as a 3.5-point road favorite gave Oklahoma a 1-0 SU and ATS start to their conference slate, and all eight games remaining on the schedule are against Big 12 opponents. The Sooners have won or held a share of the Big 12 Championship six times in the last 10 seasons, and will set their sights on doing the same again in 2016.
The Sooners are 6-2 SU and 3-5 ATS in their last eight games as a double-digit favorite, failing to cover in each of their last three per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Trend: Oklahoma is 0-3 ATS in its last three games against Texas.
Trend: Oklahoma is 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS in its last eight games against its conference.
Texas had an anemic offense in 2015, averaging just 371 yards per game and 26.4 points per game last season. Those numbers are way up in 2016 with the offense averaging 517 yards per game and 41.3 points per game, but it has only translated to a 2-2 SU and ATS record as the defense has been torched for 47 points or more in three of Texas’ first four games.
Texas is 3-6 SU and ATS in its last nine October games, and will likely need to score a ton of points to have a chance in this one.
Saturday’s total is set at 73 points. The OVER is 7-1 in Oklahoma’s last eight conference games.
If the first month of the season is any indication, Oklahoma’s offense shouldn’t have trouble scoring on Texas’ shaky defense. Whether or not Texas can keep up will determine who covers the spread.
