NC State failed to complete this flea flicker. As in, failed to complete the *first* part

It wasn’t great

We are typically in favor of flea flickers. But in hurricane conditions, maybe the folks at NC State should have thought twice about this play call.

Running back Matthew Dayes flipped this ball back to QB Ryan Finley, the only problem being that with all the rain a slippery ball got out of Finley’s grasp. Momentarily, a Yakety Sax moment occurred before Finley righted the ship (that’s a water metaphor because it’s raining you see).

He’s not the only QB who’s having issues with the weather today. Things aren’t going so swimmingly for DeShone Kizer.

The remnants of Hurricane Matthew are hammering North Carolina today. ESPN’s Tom Luginbill reported from the sideline that the NC State players aren’t even wearing gloves because the material on the palms gets too slick when wet. They’re getting plenty wet today.
