During Sunday’s game against Colorado, USC was looking to extend their second-quarter 7-0 lead.
4 times this USC touchdown shouldn’t have been a touchdown
Against all odds.

Spoiler alert, they did it, but only barely.
This from Sam Darnold is worth watching again (and again) https://t.co/mDi9zY93xk

Let’s break it down, as we love to do.
1. The fumble
Oh, no! Where’s the ball? It’s gone, all is lost.
2. The plot twist
Surprise! There it is! It’s like we’re playing a game of peek-a-boo with the ball.
3. The throw
Another obstacle: Sam Darnold had to run the wrong way down the field to evade defenders, but he’s going to give it his best shot.
4. The catch
The ball made it to Tyler Petite, but it’s not sage yet. He’s got to get around several defenders to make it to the end zone.
5. The score
There it is. He actually did it, widening the lead to 14-0.
Later on, Darnold would fumble and Colorado’s Jordan Carrell would recover it, leading to an eventual Colorado touchdown, but let’s just bask in the glory of the touchdown that never should have been.
