Tennessee’s Danny O’Brien says he’ll ‘be all good’ after being carted off

CBS

In the fourth quarter of Tennessee’s game against Texas A&M, defensive lineman Danny O’Brien went down after a helmet-to-helmet tackle. Trainers immediately rushed to his aid and a hush fell over Kyle Field as both teams kneeled on the field.

Sunday morning he tweeted gratitude to all his well wishers.

He was immobilized and carted out of the stadium Saturday afternoon.

CBS’ Allie LaForce reported during the game that O’Brien “is moving all four extremities,” later reporting that he was taken from the hospital to UT’s team plane. Tennessee head coach Butch Jones declined to discuss any injury updates after the game.

O’Brien is a redshirt senior from Flint, Mich., listed by UT as having started four games this year before Saturday.
