Dana Holgorsen responds to ref’s call by saying near hot mic that his players have ‘bigger balls’

In the first half against Texas, West Virginia recovered a fumble during a Longhorns punt return. Officials ruled against the fumble, saying WVU’s coverage team was too close to punt returner Jacorey Warrick during an attempted fair catch.

Here’s a rundown, available only in tweets from the scene because this didn’t occur on the broadcast itself:

Holgo evidently believes his players tried harder and that refs didn’t appreciate this.

I do not think the officials used anyone’s testicle size as evidence for or against this call, but I can’t be sure.

But the greatest moment in referee mic work remains this, the time an official forgot to turn on his mic and responded to that mishap by doing some cussing:
