This season was the first Michigan enjoyed the sweet release from the clutches of Adidas into the comforting arms of Nike. But it’s not just any brand the Wolverines sport, they wear Jordan brand merch (all the rage with the kids these days). That allows them to wear the Jumpman logo on apparel, especially footwear.
Michigan vs. Ohio State is going to be Jordan vs. LeBron (as far as cleats go)
It’s a rivalry on the field and on the feet.

But not to be outdone, Ohio State will wear Lebrons on Saturday in what sets up to be the most stylish footwear matchup in college football history.
James, (a noted Ohio State fan with an honorary locker in Ohio Stadium) will also be in attendance for The Game. The Lebrons have been an idea he’s had for years, and the timing is certainly right to unveil them this week.
Lebron has a history of outfitting the schools he holds dear, too. In 2013, he hooked up his high school alma mater with sweet new duds.
ESPN reported Friday morning that the Ohio State cleats will go on sale next year. Whenever they do, it won’t matter what happens on the field because the real winner will be Nike, when we all go to the store to buy them.
