Look how hard UNC’s head coach had to work to keep this lineman out of a fracas

Not sure if UNC’s Larry Fedora fancies himself a mechanical bull rider, but his defensive lineman certainly takes him for a ride here.

As you can see in the video, head coach Fedora is not some shlub in a polo on the sidelines, though. The man’s got some pythons, and he’s not shy about showing off his physique and his simple diet tips.

This whole rivalry fracas was all for naught anyway. UNC’s No. 97 Jalen Dalton ended up throwing a punch, despite Fedora’s horse-collar, hold-back technique.

Dalton was rightly ejected for throwing a fisticuff right in front of the referee, but the whole scrum involved a fumble that ended up being ruled an incomplete pass. Points to both teams for playing through the whistle with extra effort, but you see what happens when things get a touch out of hand.

In the interview right before halftime, NC State coach Dave Doeren even said, “We can’t leave the bench like that.”
