With the final game of a disappointing season slipping away from Notre Dame, sophomore defensive lineman Jerry Tillery let his frustrations spill over with a pair of dirty plays in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss to USC.
Notre Dame’s Jerry Tillery took two incredibly dirty cheap shots at USC players who were on the ground
Notre Dame, after Saturday’s loss, is 4-8.

First came this kick to the head of Trojans running back Aca’Cedric Ware, who was defenseless on the ground after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit.
A different Notre Dame player — safety Nicco Fertitta — was called for targeting on the hit on Ware. Tillery was not flagged.
But a few plays later, as USC scored another touchdown to take a 45-21 lead, Tillery removed any benefit of the doubt with a second dirty play. This time, with USC tackle Zach Banner on the ground, Tillery stepped on his left foot, twisting Banner’s ankle.
Stay classy, Jerry Tillery.
The stomp not only earned Tillery a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, but also brought a tongue-lashing from teammates and head coach Brian Kelly on the sideline.
