Alabama might be the best college football team since 1945 Army

With a freshman quarterback. Not fair.

Rivalry Week is done, and Championship Week is upon us. Let’s talk about who’s good (and hot) and who isn’t!

Topics include:

  • The latest S&P+ top 25 (as always).
  • The complete lack of an upper middle class in college football. After the top 13-15, there are about 30 identical teams. (And that makes for some funky computer ratings.)
  • Who are the hottest teams in the country right now? Alabama, USC, Penn State, and ... Clemson? Iowa? ...Vandy?
  • Send LSU to the Sugar Bowl.
  • Washington’s ... probably safe in the CFP race. We think.
  • Alabama might be the best team since 1945 Army. That’s just not fair.
