Three pretty exciting things about college football’s Week 10: it’s November now, we have Playoff rankings now, and one of the annual biggest games is Saturday night. And there are plenty of other good games, too, because there always are.
Your college football schedule Watchability Grid, Week 10: What to watch, when, and how
Good morning! This is the Read Option, your daily college football newsletter. Once a week, it’s the most useful weekend schedule guide anywhere. Sign up for this in your inbox!

Below, a weekend schedule guide with TV times and streaming info, sorted by watchability (as in, a subjective combo of stakes, quality, competitiveness, and what else is going on at the time).
This likely won’t be a c h a o s weekend, with only two games between two ranked teams (Alabama-LSU and Nebraska-Ohio State) and most other ranked teams favored by big spreads. Safe and secure all around! When you feel like that, that’s how you know when a chaos weekend is about to strike. So we’re well on course for fun.
(Weeknights removed, for your Saturday convenience.

Notes on the WATCH THIS games, at least two of which will be controversial choices.
- The early slate is loaded with pretty good games, but no clear standouts. I’ll recommend two Big 12 teams not playing defense to jolt you into your Saturday. Can Charlie Strong hang onto his job after all? Can he pass some hot-seat mojo along to Kliff Kingsbury?
- Yeah! A Florida game! Here we have Arkansas, which has tended over recent years to play wild games, hosting a largely untested No. 11 team. As was the case earlier, there are plenty of fine options, though.
- One of the year’s most-hyped games is the obvious evening pick. If Bama-LSU is a blowout, there’s another all-ranked game kicking off at the same time. If both are blowouts, we might be staring down a bad Saturday. Since it’s impossible to have a bad Saturday, that can’t happen. Reason.
- The late game is also easy: an undefeated conference leader with a newfound chip on its shoulder, thanks to the Playoff rankings, heading to play one of the nation’s premier chaos teams.
