Army and Navy are playing their 117th football game on Saturday afternoon. It started with some awfully impressive parachuting.
Navy’s Leap Frogs parachuters dropped in on the Army game right before kickoff
This game: still the coolest.

Look closely at these two parachuters, and you’ll see they’re locking their legs together on their way out of the sky and onto the field at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium.
I myself have never parachuted, but I can say with confidence that two people tying themselves together with their legs while falling from the sky toward the earth is a difficult thing. So this is cool.
Another parachuter was good enough to deliver the American flag directly to midfield.
The people executing this parachuting are members of the Naval Academy’s Leap Frogs parachuting team. The Leap Frogs are serious:
The United States Navy Parachute Team “The Leap Frogs” is the official parachute demonstration team of the United States Navy. Part of the United States Naval Special Warfare Command. The team is made up of active-duty Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC) and support personnel. The team is sanctioned by the Department of Defense and recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The pregame parachuting is one of the many cool pageantries that come with Army vs. Navy each year. Other things that are unique to this game: the clash of triple-option offenses, the attendance of presidents, and the dope uniforms.
