Hey, before the College Football Playoff thing and bowl season and all that, how about we watch some other big games? That sounds fine!
College football TV and streaming schedule: Championship Saturday watchability grid
It’s one of college football’s coolest weekends: conference title weekend. Here’s your full TV and streaming schedule, sorted by what you should watch in each time slot.

Every FBS conference title is on the line either Friday or Saturday, with only the Sun Belt having handed out part of a championship so far (good job, Appalachian State). Almost all should be good games, and there’s other stuff going on too, including the FCS postseason and some FBS loosies.
Below, the full schedule for the final weekend before Selection Sunday, with games sorted by watchability, as determined by a subjective combo of stakes, quality, competitiveness, and what else is on at the time.
Let’s have a pretty good weekend, then spend all Saturday night and Sunday trying to remain civil while the Playoff committee does its work amongst the shadows!
(Friday night removed, for your Saturday convenience. Washington and Western Michigan won their conferences.)

Early shift: “Bedlam” rarely lives up to its name historically, with OU dominating the series, 85-18-7, and last year beating a similar Oklahoma State by 25, though it’s gotten better lately. The winner’s the Big 12 champion and into the Sugar Bowl, and both teams do have top offenses.
There’s a good chance Temple-Navy and Louisiana Tech-Western Kentucky will be better games, though.
Middle shift: Please watch anything besides the SEC Championship. Bama is justifiably favored by three touchdowns and might not even need to win in order to make the Playoff. The SWAC Championship will do fine, and that time slot is the heart of the FCS playoffs’ second round.
It won’t even be Verne Lundquist’s last game; that’ll be Army-Navy. Only tune into CBS for the Dr. Pepper halftime scholarship toss.
Late shift: The Big Ten Championship is the game with higher rankings, but you might need some ACC Championship in your life to be sure you see some touchdowns.
If you really want touchdowns, check in on the Mountain West Championship. I really wish they’d kick off the MWC title game at like 11 p.m. ET on Championship Saturday one of these years, because nothing would say “last game of the college football regular season” better than the rematch of a game that came down to a Hail Mary and failed two-point conversion. As it is, a wild game might get buried.
