Bama fans loudly chanted the name of their injured star who was an honorary captain

This was pretty cool.

Prior to the Peach Bowl kickoff between No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Washington, both sides met at midfield for the coin toss. One of Alabama’s captains was Tide safety Eddie Jackson. Jackson, who suffered a devastating season-ending leg injury in October against Texas A&M. Before the coin flip, Bama fans broke out in an “Eddie” chant to pay tribute to their former starting safety.

Marlon Humphrey has filled in well for Jackson since his injury, but it’s no question that Jackson was a valuable and beloved member of the Alabama team before he went down. Prior to his injury, Jackson had 24 total tackles and an interception on the season.

Kudos to the Bama fans for showing him some love.
