Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough is a powerful man. He’d already proven that, but he channeled Beast Mode Marshawn Lynch in the Peach Bowl against Washington.
This 68-yard TD by Bo Scarbrough might’ve just put Alabama back in the National Championship
Good luck stopping this.
Washington had Scarbrough stacked up at the line of scrimmage on a second-and-9 run, or at least that’s how it looked. Two Husky defenders had prime chances to bring him down early. But Scarbrough’s legs never stopped churning, and what was supposed be roughly no gain became a 68-yard, possibly game-sealing touchdown run.
It was one of the more incredible plays of this college football season. It brought Alabama to a 24-7 lead, and Alabama isn’t in the business of blowing 24-7 leads.
The big shame here is that this run somehow turned Scarbrough’s first touchdown of the day into something obsolete. And that run was about as powerful as it gets.
It’s hard to game-plan for someone who abjectly refuses to be tackled. On Saturday, Scarbrough has refused to be tackled.
The second touchdown brought him to 175 yards on 14 carries, an average of 12.5 per run.
