No. 15 Tennessee is coming off of an impressive 45-24 victory over Virginia Tech in the Battle at Bristol, which was played in front of 156,999 people, an NCAA attendance record, at Bristol Motor Speedway. With the victory, Tennessee has now won eight consecutive games dating back to the 2015 season, which is the longest UT win streak since a 13-0 streak that went from 1998-99.

Tennessee faces Ohio this week. The meeting will be the second for the two schools the. The Vols defeated the Bobcats, 34-23, in Knoxville in 2009. That win kicked off Tennessee’s current streak of 24 consecutive regular-season victories against unranked, non-conference opponents. The matchup will be the last non-conference opponent before the Vols face Florida at home to begin SEC play.

Three big things to know
1. Tennessee’s offense scores quickly. During last week’s win over Virginia Tech, Tennessee scored six total touchdowns. Four of those scores required drives of 40 yards or longer, including one touchdown march that covered 90 yards. All four of those touchdowns each took less than three minutes off the clock.
2. Historically, Ohio doesn’t do well against SEC opponents. Ohio is 2-11 against current members of the SEC. The Bobcats hold a 2-3 record against Kentucky, is 0-1 against Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri (while in Big 12), Tennessee and Vanderbilt and 0-2 against South Carolina.
3. Ohio’s quarterback Greg Windam does it all. The redshirt senior quarterback was a big reason the Bobcats beat Kansas last week. On offense, Windham led all players on offense, rushing for a career-high 146 yards, which included a career-long rush for 53 yards. He also passed for 167 yards going 19-of-36 with one interception and a touchdown pass on the day. Windam is currently averaging 280 passing yards a game and 91.5 yards on the ground, with a 132.3 efficiency rating and a 57.3 completion percentage.
Tennessee’s defense has allowed 161 yards in the air per game, along with 185 on the ground each week.
