Late in the National Championship game, Alabama got the ball back with less than four minutes, trailing, 28-24, against Clemson. On first down, Bama quarterback Jalen Hurts kept the ball and barrelled upfield 30 yards for a much-needed touchdown that put the Tide ahead by four with a little more than two minutes left.

The score could have been enough to give Alabama the ball game, but Clemson still had life since they got the ball back with two minutes left. Hurts was crucial in Alabama’s game against LSU earlier in the season, leading two scoring drives with some crucial plays with his legs.
The true freshman hasn’t been perfect against Clemson, but this score showed he can make a play for his team when needed, as he has before this year.
