Clemson beat Alabama to win its second-ever national title on Monday night, and the Tigers’ celebration was on as soon as the final whistle was blown in Raymond James Stadium. The Tigers’ celebration featured a hilariously animated defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, whose dance moves and subsequent split were a big hit.
Cleveland’s J.R. Smith inspired Clemson’s Christian Wilkins to celebrate national title shirtless
This is fantastic.

Prior to Wilkins’ dancing above, he was seen celebrating his team’s win completely shirtless, as seen below.
As it turns out, there’s a real reason for Wilkins’ shirtlessness, and it stems from both lack of being able to find a championship shirt, and being inspired by J.R. Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Smith became notorious for partying and celebrating the Cavs’ NBA championship last year with no shirt on.
“I hate the Cavaliers, I really do,” said Wilkins, via the Post and Courier. “But I was kind of inspired by J.R. Smith a little bit. They won last year and that boy was going crazy with no shirt on.
“Also, actually, I was looking for one of those championship shirts they were giving away. I couldn’t find one (at first.)”
Thank you, J.R., for inspiring this 310-pound defensive tackle to celebrate his team’s national title completely shirtless and proud.
