In the first quarter of a tie 3-3 game, the Hawkeye band broke out Florida State’s “war chant,” commonly referred to as the Tomahawk Chop, for its fans to sing along to.
Iowa’s band trolled Florida by playing FSU’s Tomahawk Chop song, then lost by 27
Considering the Gators’ recent history against the Noles, this is good.

The FSU war chant can be heard throughout Florida State games from the Seminoles’ band. Florida got whopped by Florida State this season, losing 31-13. Last season’s game wasn’t much closer, with the Gators losing 27-2.
The awkward part about this in the end though is how Iowa ended up faring against Florida -- the Hawkeyes wound up losing 30-3. Florida’s band after the victory had a clever response.
Iowa’s band has been on the other side of a band poking some fun at an opposing team, and it happened during last year’s bowl season. During its halftime show at the Rose Bowl, Stanford’s band poked some fun at Iowa’s agricultural history. Iowa fans were not happy in the stands at the performance, and some Hawkeye fans even emailed Iowa’s school president to express their displeasure.
