Bo Scarbrough jukes one Clemson defender and drags another for the Championship’s first TD

Bama gets on the board first.

Alabama struck first against Clemson on its second offensive possession of the game to take an early 7-0 lead. Bama running back Bo Scarbrough took the ball around the left side and upfield to the house for a 25-yard score.

ESPN

The touchdown drive came after Clemson attempted to convert on fourth-and-1 from Alabama’s 41-yard line. The Tigers were stuffed on a failed pitch play, which gave the Tide offense a short field to work with on the drive.

Scarbrough is coming off an impressive semifinal performance in the Tide’s Peach Bowl win against Washington, rushing for 180 yards and two touchdowns. What’s even more unexpected about that performance is that before he came into that game, he was the fourth leading rusher on the team.
