Alabama seems really pissed off this season. Even more so than usual, this team is playing with an edge and simply ripping teams limb from limb. They’ve outscored two conference opponents 125-3 in the last two games. Vanderbilt and Ole Miss aren’t gonna challenge for the league title, and I don’t care. It is an impressive feat.
Every one of Alabama’s October opponents might have new coaches next season
Nick Saban, destroyer of worlds, and also maybe coaching tenures.

Now the calendar turns to October and — oh dear:
If I had to rank things by job security I’d probably put Tennessee at the top here above A&M, but besides that Bama will roll through the SEC’s hottest seats almost in order (and the Tide host the Hogs, Vols and Tigers). It is at least conceivable that these next four opponents could all have new coaches next season. Add in the Ole Miss team under interim coach Matt Luke that Alabama just waxed 66-3, and you have five straight Bama opponents who may very well have a new man in charge next season.
A soul-crushing loss to Alabama has a way of breaking a program. In many ways, Florida’s program hasn’t been the same since being dominated by the Tide in the 2009 SEC championship game. Texas is yet to recover from its spanking after that in the ‘09 title game either.
If the Tide can tear apart one of these teams it’ll send a fanbase into a tizzy. We’ll find out soon which one.
