Auburn has been rolling since its home loss to Clemson, putting a potential College Football Playoff berth back in its sights with a 5-1 record. The Tigers have destroyed SEC competition this fall, scoring 51, 49, and 44 points in routs against Missouri, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss, respectively. Another big performance would effectively end LSU’s SEC title hopes and push Auburn even higher into the top 10.

The guy doing most up front to contain the big plays, and to hold Shea Patterson in the pocket was defensive tackle Derrick Brown. Brown finished yesterday’s game with six tackles, including two TFLs, and a half sack as well.
Will Auburn’s improved O-line play hold up?
In the Tigers’ lone loss of 2017, Jarrett Stidham was sacked 11 times as the Auburn offense was rendered harmless in a 14-6 Clemson triumph. Since then, the team’s blockers have surrendered just four sacks in the four games since — three of which featured Auburn scoring at least 44 points.
However, LSU is loaded with blue-chip talent in its front seven. The Tigers’ 3.3 sacks per game rank 10th in the nation, and that could be the key to an upset Saturday afternoon.
Auburn at LSU prediction:
LSU rebounded from a disheartening loss by beating Florida on the road, but Auburn is a much tougher opponent than the Gators were. The improving play of Stidham (five TDs, zero INTs his last three games) should be enough to hold an upset-hungry LSU team at bay, even on its home turf.
