Akron-Western Michigan postponed to Sunday due to the field being, uh, underwater

Former head coach P.J. Fleck’s Row The Boat mantra and trademark boat oar would’ve come in handy right about now.

The scene in Kalamazoo ahead of Akron-Western Michigan, where kickoff has been postponed to Sunday at 1 p.m. ET for some reason:

Can’t quite put my finger on the reason.

Ah!

Adding insult to injury, former WMU head coach P.J. Fleck had just the solution for such a situation. The energetic rascal was known for using his “Row The Boat” catch phrase and carrying around actual, physical boat oars, but he’s since taken the whole show to Minnesota.

This is one of the most underwater football fields I’ve seen on a game day in quite a while.
