If this run doesn’t impress you, I’m not sure what does. In the second half of the Florida Gators’ home game against the Texas A&M Aggies, Florida’s offense was faced with a 3rd and 12. That’s when Gator quarterback Feleipe Franks bursted on a 79-yard run that put Florida deep in Aggie territory. What’s more impressive though, is how he weaved across the field, while dodging a total of six Aggie tackles before he was finally brought down.
Feleipe Franks basically ran 100 yards across the field during this huge 79-yard run
He’s got wheels!

He probably easily ran over 100 yards total on the entirety of this play, to be honest.
The play set up a Gator touchdown to take a 17-10 lead over TAMU at the very beginning of the fourth quarter. The run didn’t just set up that score — the 79-yard gain marks Florida’s longest play from the line of scrimmage all season long. And it’s the longest from a Florida quarterback since 1996 — as far back as the QB rushing records go!
Coming into this game, Franks had -22 yards rushing on the season, so it’s the first big gain on the ground for him this year, too.
We’ll see if Florida can hold onto this lead, but for now, Gator fans are pretty happy Franks is on their side of the field.
