Collecting new Top 25 rankings after college football’s first truly wild weekend

The rankings are all right here, and they’re quite different after an upset Saturday.

Week 7 of the college football season kicked off with a pair of upsets on Friday night, as then-No. 2 Clemson lost to Syracuse in the Carrier Dome, and then-No. 8 Washington State fell to Cal. Saturday kept the top-10 upsets rolling, with LSU coming back to beat No. 10 Auburn and Arizona State shocking No. 5 Washington.

No. 19 San Diego State and No. 23 Navy also suffered their first losses (to Boise State and Memphis), and No. 25 Texas Tech lost on a West Virginia comeback. Big rankings shakeups!

We’re officially in the heart of conference play, so things only get more important from here. The first College Football Playoff selection committee rankings don’t come out until Halloween, and until then, the best barometer we have is the AP Top 25. No rankings really matter until the committee’s, but at the very least, the rankings give us a good idea of where teams stand until then.

The rankings we’re featuring are here, as soon as each one releases:
