The No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners can’t afford another loss, especially to a team like the Kansas State Wildcats, their opponents on Saturday. The game will be played at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Kansas, and will be broadcast by FOX beginning at 4 p.m. ET (live streaming via Fox Sports GO).
Oklahoma-Kansas State game is delayed by lightning. Here’s where to find it.
Update: The game’s currently delayed due to lightning.

Oklahoma already has one loss on its record, a home defeat to Iowa State that seriously set it back in the bid for the College Football Playoff. That game was 38-31 in favor of Iowa State, and Oklahoma responded by winning a narrow game against Texas in its next outing.
Expectations have been very high since a Week 2 win over then-No. 2 Ohio State. The Sooners have some tough matchups remaining on the schedule, including Oklahoma State, West Virginia, and TCU — all in November.
The Wildcats, on the other hand, are 3-3 on the season, and 1-2 within the Big 12. They are facing the possibility of not even getting a bowl game at this point, but would be virtually guaranteed one if they could pull off an upset against a team like Oklahoma.
Kansas State started the season off at 3-1, but have lost their last two games, falling to Texas and TCU. They will also see Oklahoma State and West Virginia before the season is over, and definitely need some good news as soon as possible. Bill Snyder’s team has been out-coached and outmatched and needs a win.

Oklahoma vs. Kansas State news:
- Kansas State quarterback Jesse Ertz is dealing with a knee injury that was originally expected to keep him out of multiple games. But it’s now possible that Ertz manages to make his return in time to face Oklahoma on Saturday.
- Speaking of Ertz, he gave an impassioned motivational speech to the team on Monday prior to practice in hopes of turning the season around, starting with Oklahoma.
- It will be youth vs. experience on Saturday, when the youngest head coach in FBS football takes on the oldest one.
- The most interesting matchup to watch? The Oklahoma offensive line against the Kansas State front seven, at least according to the folks at Crimson and Cream Machine.
- Rodney Anderson appeared to be out of the equation when he didn’t get any touches against Baylor, but it looks like he’s back into the fold following the team’s last game.
Oklahoma vs. Kansas State prediction:
Oklahoma opened as 12.5-point favorites, and for good reason. While the Sooners should have beaten Texas by a wider margin in their last outing, it was a close, emotional win over a significant rival. That will give them plenty of confidence going into a game against the extremely beatable Wildcats. They’ll get the win going into tougher matchups in the future.
