Injuries suck. They’re the worst part of football, and we never want to see anyone get hurt. Chicago Bears DB Eddie Jackson suffered a season-ending injury during his senior year at Alabama.
Exactly 1 year after his college career ended due to injury, Eddie Jackson sets an NFL record
A great achievement for a former Bama star.

The man who led Alabama with 6 interceptions during its 2015 national championship season and developed a reputation as one of the country’s best punt returners now was unable to participate in any drills at the NFL combine.
“Everything I worked hard for,” he said, “I feel like it was taken away from me.”
On top of his inability to play, Jackson felt his self-worth slide as the season went on. He watched helplessly as his name faded from NFL draft conversation.
“When I got hurt, people forgot about me,” he said.
But Jackson rebounded to have a huge first half in the Bears’ Week 7 tilt against the Carolina Panthers. It was literally historic.
The poetic justice here is Oct. 22 is a year to the day since Jackson suffered his injury against Texas A&M. Here’s hoping Jackson has a long and healthy NFL career.
