Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant left the Tigers’ game against Wake Forest after leading a touchdown drive in the third quarter on Saturday.
Clemson QB Kelly Bryant left Wake Forest game with ankle injury
Backup Zerrick Cooper replaced him during Clemson’s 28-14 win.

Bryant had taken a low hit on a running play.
Backup Zerrick Cooper replaced Bryant and started 2-of-5 for 16 yards. ESPN’s cameras picked up Bryant on the sideline, walking around and looking as if he’d like to reenter the game. That hasn’t happened yet, but we’ll update this post as news emerges.
Bryant spent time being treated in an injury tent:
Bryant has done a good job this season despite having big shoes to fill. He’s the first QB to lead Clemson since Deshaun Watson, the best player in school history and a national champion last year, left for the NFL. Bryant is surrounded by talent and has an elite defense backing him up, but he’s been solid in his own right: 66 percent completions, 8.1 yards per throw, three touchdowns, and three picks entering Saturday.
