This entire video is overwhelming:
I can’t stop watching BYU’s Cosmo the Cougar mascot doing this overwhelming dance routine
There’s a human inside the costume. I think.

Let’s unpack this:
- The song is “Rollie With a Dab of Ranch” by Ayo & Teo.
- The mascot is Cosmo the Cougar, the gyrating, furry face of the BYU Cougars.
- The location is LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, the home of BYU.
- The date might be Oct. 6, when BYU hosted Boise State, but I’m not sure.
The entire dance routine here is too much for me to handle. This is a blog post, and it’d feel weird not to add some words, so I guess I’ll just say: It’s the most aggressively conceived and perfectly executed mascot dance routine I’ve ever seen in my life. No exceptions.
Cosmo the Cougar could be a background dancer for any musical act in the world — hip-hop, pop, country, R&B, a symphony orchestra somewhere, or whatever — and enrich the performance tenfold. They don’t just not make mascots like this anymore. They never made mascots like this.
You should watch that video with the volume on, if you haven’t already. You’ll be shook by the end of it, but your life will be marginally better for having watched it.
