One of TCU’s best defenders got ejected for kicking someone vs. Oklahoma. Here’s what we can see on the video.

It’s hard to tell a lot from the replay shown on TV.

TCU defensive end Mat Boesen was thrown out of the Horned Frogs’ game at No. 5 Oklahoma Saturday night, with the referee announcing he’d kicked an opponent.

Fox’s cameras only briefly caught whatever happened:

Boesen was tangled up with a couple of Sooner offensive linemen behind the play. An official was standing directly over them. What we can see from the camera angle above is that Boesen jerked his leg around a little bit. It’s not clear that he kicked anyone, but the zebra standing right there probably wouldn’t have called it for nothing.

Oklahoma scored a touchdown later in this drive to go up 24-7, and the Sooners appeared well on their way to a decisive win. The No. 6 Horned Frogs will miss Boesen, who entered the night third on the team in tackles and second in sacks, with four. He’s not the sort of player the Frogs can really afford to miss against OU’s offense.
