Not good news for the Midshipmen.

This is some horrible injury news for the Navy Midshipmen if it’s serious. In the fourth quarter of Navy’s game on the road against the Temple Owls, Midshipman QB Zach Abey went to the locker room after taking a big hit.

Back-up quarterback Garret Lewis finished the game for Abey, and the Midshipmen ended up losing 34-26.

Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious, given that Abey entered the game Thursday with 1,142 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns so far this season, and he’s thrown for another six touchdowns.

He was seen on the sidelines without his shoulder pads and is done for the evening.

Last year, Abey had six rushing touchdowns and earned his first career start last season against Army.

We’ll update this story with any additional information.
