The finalists for the Joe Moore Award, which is given to the most outstanding offensive line in the country, were announced on Wednesday, and Auburn, Alabama, and Notre Dame made the cut.
Baker Mayfield calls out Joe Moore Award voters for Sooners snub
He may have a point here.

One unit that didn’t was the Oklahoma Sooners, and OU quarterback Baker Mayfield voiced his disagreement about it on Twitter:
Mayfield probably has a right to be upset here. According to the Adjusted Line Yards statistic, which attempts to separate the ability of a running back from the ability of the offensive line, the Sooners are No. 2 in the country. Auburn ranks 24th in that same category, Alabama seventh, and Notre Dame fourth. Oh, and Auburn gave up a whopping 11 sacks to Clemson earlier in the season, too.
Oklahoma’s offensive line features some talented big men, like left tackle Orlando Brown, who won last year’s Big 12 Lineman of the Year award, and is projected to be drafted in the first round. Center Erick Wren started in 10 games last season, and gave up a single sack all year.
Some Joe Moore Award voters vouched for Oklahoma and Mayfield’s opinion, and added that the vote for the finalists was pretty close.
The winner of the Joe Moore Award will be announced next Thursday evening during the College Football Awards, which will be televised on ESPN.
