Sometimes a picture’s worth 1,000 words, or in this case a gif. In a since-deleted tweet, Florida’s official twitter account tweeted a gif during the Gators’ blowout loss to Missouri. Here’s a screen grab of the gif, so you get the gist:
Florida and Missouri’s Twitter accounts were more competitive than the teams were on the field
Florida’s much more punchy on the TL than on offense.

Florida got dump-trucked by Missouri, 45-16, and it’s getting up there with some of the more embarrassing results in school history. It has been quite a four-week stretch in Gainesville.
Jim McElwain mentioned death threats that the school didn’t back him up on. Then it was reported that Florida moved to negotiate his buyout down during the game. McElwain was fired on Sunday and Randy Shannon’s most drastic act was to swap starting QBs for Notre Dame transfer Malik Zaire.
Needless to say, it ain’t working. But nothing to see here.
Florida’s band account also has the appropriate reaction to the perplexing result.
But both on the field and on the timeline, Missouri will get the last laugh. Are you not entertained?
