What should I know about the two teams in the Las Vegas Bowl?
Oregon (7-5, 4-5 in Pac-12)
The Ducks had a nice bounceback from last year’s 4-8 season, and now they’re bowling again after missing out for the first time since 2004. UO has proven to be one of the country’s most consistent winning bets and has only missed bowls twice since 1994, which was well before the births of most of the players who’ll participate in this game.
Oregon has a fun offense, led by quarterback Justin Herbert. The Ducks have recruited well over the years and should make more postseason appearances in short order, even if they’re angling for better than this one.

Boise State (10-3, 7-1 in Mountain West)
The Broncos had a few issues this year, especially early on. They were 2-2 at one point, with one loss being acceptable (by three at a ranked Washington State) and the other being gross (by 19 at home to Virginia).
But Bryan Harsin’s team got its act together and has now done what Boise State does every year: This season marks the team’s 16th straight bowl appearance. It beat Fresno State to win the Mountain West title.
