Last month, LSU quarterback Brandon Harris announced that he would be transferring from the school after three seasons, and that head coach Ed Orgeron had granted him a full release.

Harris has now found a landing spot as a graduate transfer. On Sunday, Harris announced that he has transferred to North Carolina, making the news official with a Facebook post.

The announcement comes following Harris’ official visit to UNC over the weekend.

Harris will compete for the starting job to take over for former Tar Heels quarterback and expected first-round draft pick, Mitchell Trubisky.

According to Fox Sports, Harris hopes to graduate in June, which would make him eligible this fall. He was also being recruited by Texas and Arizona, but he had not yet visited either. The former four-star quarterback prospect threw for 2,158 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions as a sophomore in 2015, with appearances in eight games as a freshman and four games as a junior.
