During Ohio State’s spring game, the Buckeyes defense let a very special fan score a touchdown on the last play of the game. In the final seconds of the fourth quarter, Jacob Jarvis, a teenage Buckeyes fan who has muscular dystrophy, scored Team Scarlet’s final touchdown of the game.
Ohio State fan with muscular dystrophy scores final touchdown of spring game
This was such a cool moment.

We saw a similar special touchdown a few years ago with Nebraska’s spring game. A young fan with cancer, Jack Hoffman, scored a 69-yard touchdown in 2013. The Buckeyes players did a good job of selling Jarvis’ touchdown, by “attempting” to make tackles on him.
Jarvis was even seen recruiting for Ohio State outside of the stadium before the spring game kicked off.
Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has called Jarvis a “legit member of the team” since 2013. After the Buckeyes’ national championship in January 2015, Jarvis got to go on the field to hoist the CFP National Championship trophy.
Kudos to the whole Ohio State team for putting together this special moment for Jarvis, which he’ll surely never forget.
