Florida’s defense scored all of Florida’s 2017 touchdowns for nearly 2 entire games

Update: The Gators then beat Tennessee on a long Hail Mary, believe it or not.

Most of the way through two games, the Florida Gators had scored three touchdowns this season. Florida’s offense had scored literally none of them.

This was Florida’s only touchdown until late against Tennessee:

Florida didn’t play in Week 2, when Hurricane Irma forced the cancellation of a scheduled game against Northern Colorado. In Week 1, the Gators lost to Michigan.

Their first TD that game:

And their second:

Florida’s moribund offense was yet to find the end zone itself, until five minutes remained against Tennessee.

During Irma, Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium suffered some damage, in which it lost both an “O” and a “D” from the signage atop the building. The letters are both back now, officially:

But really, Florida’s O is still its D. There is no independent O anywhere except in the letters above the press box.
