Have you ever seen a WALK-OFF PICK-SIX HURDLE before?

Talk about clutch.

The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks defeated the Incarnate Word Cardinals 37-31 on Saturday night, and the game finished in thrilling fashion. With the game all tied up at 31 with just 16 seconds left, Lumberjacks safety Alize Ward picked off Cardinals’ quarterback Sean Brophy and started running upfield. When he was about five yards from the goal line, there was one last defender in his way, and Ward freaking hurdled over him for the game-winning touchdown.

The interception return, which went a whole 67 yards, is obviously a great heads-up play by Ward. Not only did he make the interception, but he then had the vision and skill to hurdle that final defender when he needed to to get into the end zone.

With the victory, the Lumberjacks got their first victory of the 2017 season, while the Cardinals drop to 0-3. I think it’s safe to say we’ll certainly be seeing this incredible play from Ward on the highlight reels over the next couple of days.
